VITE III: Sparkme Space Academy confirms its role as a driving force of innovation in Matera

The third edition of VITEVarious Innovative Technological Experiences has once again transformed Matera into a dynamic laboratory of ideas, experimentation and connections. In this scenario full of stimuli, the Sparkme Space Academy It has shone as a real national reference point for innovation, welcoming a community made up of researchers, companies, institutions, schools and digital culture professionals and encouraging a continuous exchange of visions and skills.
From 10 to 14 November 2025, the spaces of the Academy became the nerve centre of a dialogue that combined science, technology, art and territorial development. The event was made possible thanks to the collaboration with INAF and CINECA VisitLab, to the sponsorship of the Municipality of Matera and the Basilicata Region and the support of the Lucanian Aerospace Cluster (CLAS). Within this articulated ecosystem, Openet Technologies, a strategic partner of the initiative, played a coordinating role that supported the vision of the Sparkme Space Academy and contributed to the construction of a very high-profile event.
The start of the works on 10 November was marked by the interventions of the institutions and the contributions of the protagonists of the aerospace sector, followed by the inaugural session dedicated to artificial intelligence and robotics. During the same day, great attention was attracted by the presentation of the new headquarters of the Sparkme Space Academy by Vito Gaudiano, who illustrated the growth prospects of the hub and its increasingly central role in the development of innovation in the area.
The following day saw an in-depth study of the relationship between research, communication and dissemination, with a CINECA VisitLab workshop dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to cultural heritage and art, while the evening ended with the concert "Sound Connections" by the "E.R. Duni" Conservatory. The days of 12 and 13 November were instead focused on technologies for industry, SMEs, sustainability and aerospace, highlighting the testimonies of schools, researchers and companies engaged in innovative projects and frontier experiments.
The closing on 14 November recorded an exceptional turnout and gave space to two fundamental themes: on the one hand the applications of artificial intelligence, digital twins and immersive reality in the cultural heritage and music sector, on the other hand the theme of inclusion, with a session dedicated to adult education, accessibility and new digital methodologies for training.
The 2025 edition of VITE is thus confirmed as an unmissable event for those who consider innovation a real driver of development. In this path, the Sparkme Space Academy further strengthens its role as a national platform capable of connecting technologies, culture and skills, and of catalysing high-impact ideas and projects. To support this vision, Openet Technologies he worked as a facilitator and coordinator of the entire organisational system, contributing to the creation of a fluid, well-kept and content-rich event, in continuity with a collaboration aimed at enhancing the innovative potential of Basilicata and the entire country.
