From the Tyrrhenian coast,
to reach the SPARKme Space Academy following the A3 Salerno – Reggio Calabria motorway, we recommend taking the exit at Sicignano. From here, continue along the SS 407 Basentana towards Ferrandina and then take the SS 7 Appia. Merge onto SP96, then SP123, Bari/Gravina junction and merge onto SS96bis, then merge onto SS655, take Contrada La Martella/Contrada Monacelle, then take Via Enzo Ferrari, at the roundabout take the 1st exit and take Via Vincenzo Alvino.
From the Adriatic coast,
We recommend taking the A14 motorway following signs for Bologna – Bari. When ready, take the Bari Nord exit and proceed along the SS 96 towards Altamura. Then, continue on the SS 99 Altamura – Matera. Once on the SS7, take the Via Gravina exit towards Tensostruttura, continue on Via Gravina and take Contrada Giardinelle, then merge onto the SP6 and then take Via Enzo Ferrari, go through three roundabouts, then take Via Vincenzo Alvino.From the jonian side,
We'll guide you through an easy route. Once you enter the SS 106 Jonica, head towards Metaponto and take the SP 175 Metaponto exit – towards Matera. Continue your journey and enter the SS 7 Appia. Take the exit for Sassi/Palasassi/Public Offices/FAL Station/University. Take the exit for Grassano/SP/La Martella/Metaponto, then take the SP Matera Grassano/SS655. Exit at Contrada La Martella/Contrada Monacelle. Enter Via Enzo Ferrari, take the first exit at the roundabout and take Via Vincenzo Alvino.

From Ferrandina Scalo you can reach Matera by bus.
Matera is connected to the national high-speed rail network by a Trenitalia shuttle bus service: Freccialink and Shuttle Bus Italo ItalobusBoth minibuses run in conjunction with the Freccia Rossa high-speed train schedules for the Freccialink trains, and with the Italo high-speed line schedules for the Italobus trains, which pass through Salerno train station. Minibus services are closely linked to their respective rail services; therefore, it is not possible to book a minibus without including a Freccia Rossa or Italo train in the trip. Schedules can be found on the Trenitalia or Italo websites.
If you don't arrive by high speed train you can take a FAL bus (hours on the website FAL – Ferrovie Appulo Lucane) but it is a good idea to check whether the departure times coincide with the arrival at the station of your train.
From Bari it is possible to reach Matera with the trains of FAL (or FAL buses on holidays).
Once you arrive at Bari Central Station, exit in the square in front (Aldo Moro Square) reach the FAL station which is a few dozen meters away on the left. From this FAL station several trains depart for Matera station, Villa Longo, Central Matera and Matera Sud, in about 90 minutes.
